TOGIAN ISLAND SANCTUM UNA UNA IS THE ONLY OPERATOR TO OFFER YOU
UNPARALLELED DIVING INDONESIA ON UNA UNA, TOGEAN ISLANDS

The Nusa Penida area offers three kinds of dives.

South Coast

This part of the island, exposed and forged by the Indian Ocean over thousands of years boasts some of the most spectacular limestone cliffs one could wish to lay eyes on.

Affected by the ocean swell, diving along its bays offers very good chances of interacting with Manta Rays who make their way into the shallow bays in order to seek the attention of cleaner fish and feed on the accumulating Plankton.

Arguably the most famous dive site on the island, Manta Point, lies 45min away from Sanctum where aside for Manta Rays, sightings of Sharks, Sting Rays, Octopus and a wide array of smaller; well-camouflaged reef inhabitants are not uncommon, while diving on limestone formations covered in soft coral species.

Three Islands

The Nusa Penida – Nusa Cenningan channel and the dives around the corners of Nusa Lembongan are characterized by fast running, colder water that keep the sloping and wall reef formations in some of the best conditions one could hope for.

The stunning combination of soft coral jungles and hard coral flats is home to a dazzling variety of resident reef fish and invertebrates. Aside for the underwater wonderland one could almost guarantee, looking above and out into the blue, there is always a chance of spotting large Tuna, Giant Trevallies, Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays and some of the visiting Megafauna; Manta Rays and Mola Mola.

One of the prominent dive sites in this area, Crystal Bay, known around the world for the frequency of sightings of the Oceanic Sun Fish or commonly named Mola Mola.  Much like the Manta Rays in the southern bays, these bizarre giants approach the sloping reef seeking the attention of cleaner fish while offering divers a chance to glimpse at these magnificent creatures. Conveniently located 20 minutes away from Sanctum it is one of our staff favorite early morning dives.

North-East Reef

This massive sloping reef system running along the north and east coasts of Nusa Penida is a hidden gem. Once again, fast running waters keep the coral exceptionally healthy and offer thrilling drift dives at any drop point along the sloping formation.

A wide variety of hard and soft coral species stretching out and down as far as the eyes can see is a home to shoals of resident reef fish and creatures, one of the best examples of a healthy reef, an underwater metropolis. Sightings of Hawksbill Turtles (due to the proximity of a turtle nesting sanctuary), Sea Snakes, schools of Low Fin Chub and Bat Fish are extremely common along the reef, while out in the blue with a little luck and attention one can find Mola Mola, Dolphins and even a Whale Shark (remember to look up!).

One of the famous dives on this reef is right at Sanctums doorstep. The SD or Ped drift is a chill 10-minute cruise from our dive centre, making it our house reef. Named by our staff and many other dive operators as the best and most consistent dive on Nusa Penida, whether in strong current or none at all, the ocean always provides wonderful and colorful memories when diving along this reef.

On Una Una you will find over 1,000 reef fish species and huge corals. Una Una is an awesome place do diving, with more than 30 dive sites, clear warm waters, huge school of fishes, rays, turtles, tornado of barracudas, and corals so beautiful and pristine some of them are 3,000 years old.

This moment we only dive in the east of the island, and we hope that soon we could explore the west side also. Underwater life is similar to that you can find in Raja Ampat in Papua, but with more barracuda and less sharks.

We also have new muck dive sites, huge painted frogfishes, seahorses and leaf scorpionfishes, and reef sharks commonly sighted.

Until recently only very few divers know this place. We have been open for 6 months and now is the time to explore more this mystically beautiful area.

Be first to diving this amazing dive spots.

Do it with Sanctum.
