Complete your dive theory at your own pace from anywhere in the world. Study the fundamentals of diving, pressure, and safety before you arrive in Nusa Penida.

Day 1 — Half Day

Pool Training Session

Learn essential skills in our calm, shallow pool: breathing, mask clearing, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures. Practice until you are completely comfortable and confident.

Day 2 — 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Ocean Dives 1 & 2

Your first open water dives! Board the boat to world-class Nusa Penida dive sites. Apply your pool skills in the real ocean with your instructor by your side.

Day 3 — 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Ocean Dives 3 & 4 — Certification!

Complete your final two ocean dives. After passing, you receive your internationally recognized dive certification — you are now a certified diver, for life.

How long does the Open Water course take?
The Open Water course takes 3 days. Day 1 is a half-day pool session. Days 2 and 3 each include 2 ocean dives (4 total), running from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. E-learning is completed online before arrival, so you can study at your own pace from anywhere in the world.
What is the difference between PRO ISO 24801, SSI, and ADIP?
All three agencies produce internationally recognized certifications that are accepted at every dive center worldwide. PRO ISO 24801 is the most widely recognized standard globally. SSI offers identical quality training at a more affordable price. ADIP is the most cost-effective option. All certifications allow you to dive to 18 meters and are valid for life.
Do I need any prior diving experience for Open Water?
No prior experience is required. The Open Water course is designed for complete beginners. You will start with e-learning theory, then a pool session to master basic skills, before progressing to open water dives. Your instructor guides you every step of the way.
What do I need to register for a course?
To register, we need your: Full Name, Email Address, Date of Birth, preferred certification Agency (PRO ISO 24801, SSI, or ADIP), and Course Level. You will also need to complete a Medical Questionnaire and Liability Release Form before starting the course.
Can I see manta rays during my course dives?
Yes! Your course dives take place at the same world-class sites around Nusa Penida, including daily trips to Manta Point where manta rays are spotted approximately 90% of the time. Many students have their first manta encounter during their certification dives.
What prerequisites do I need for the Advanced course?
You need a valid Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) from any recognized agency — PRO ISO 24801, SSI, NAUI, CMAS, ADIP, or others. The Advanced course builds on your existing skills and teaches you to dive deeper (to 30 meters), navigate underwater, and complete specialty adventure dives.
Is Nitrox included in the courses?
Free Nitrox is included with the Advanced Open Water course. For the Open Water course, standard air is used during training dives. After completing your Open Water certification, you can add a Nitrox specialty course or enjoy free Nitrox on fun dives.
How do I complete the e-learning portion?
After paying your deposit and registering, we will set up your e-learning account. You will receive login credentials to complete the theory online at your own pace — from your phone, tablet, or computer. Most students complete it in 6–8 hours over a few days. For any questions about e-learning access after payment, our team will assist you directly.
How do I get to Sanctum Dive from Bali?
Take a fast boat from Sanur Harbor to Banjar Nyuh Harbor (approximately 45 minutes). Our dive center is just 1–5 minutes from the harbor. Book tickets at ticketboat.id, or we can arrange a private transfer including pickup, round-trip boat, and return car for IDR 600,000/person (minimum 2). Contact driver Ketut: +62 897-5454-140.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel anytime — just notify us at least 1 day ahead. Please note that deposits are non-refundable under any circumstance. If you need to reschedule, we are happy to move your booking to a new date subject to availability. Notify us as soon as possible to confirm availability.
